We are committed to delivering high-quality screen-printed products to our customers. However, due to the nature of the screen-printing process, slight variance may occasionally occur. This policy outlines our approach to variance, defects, and shortages, as well as how we handle issues when they arise.
Screen print industry standards
The screen printing industry commonly allows for up to a 2% defect or shortage rate over the total number of impressions. This means that for large orders, a small percentage of items may not meet our quality control standards due to minor imperfections in the print process.
What is considered a defect?
A defect refers to any printed item that does not meet our quality criteria, including:
- Misaligned prints
- Color variations or misprints
- Smudging or ink defects
- Material damage caused during the printing process
Handling defects
If an order is reported to our quality team and the number of defects constitute fewer than 2% of the total number of impressions, then no action will be taken. If the defect rate is found to be greater than 2% of the total number of impressions then we will take one of the following actions:
- Provide a refund for the items that had a defect
- Reprint the items that had a defect with a digital print process (direct to garment or direct to film)
Reporting defects
If you believe your order has defects, please contact us within 5 business days of receiving your items. Provide details, including photos, of the affected items, and we will promptly review your claim.
Preventive measures
We take every possible precaution to minimize defects by:
- Using high-quality inks and materials
- Maintaining equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions
- Conducting thorough quality checks during and after the production process
